Shamana
Reed: Director of Training
Shamana Reed is a registered Psychologist with the NSW
Psychologists Registration Board. She has undertaken
extensive professional development in Jungian Analytical
Psychology and child psychotherapy, and is a founding
member and Director of Training at ICP. Shamana has 14
years teaching experience is involved in all aspects of
training and facilitates the Institute's infant and toddler
observation programmes. She has 27 years full-time clinical
experience and currently works in private practice. She is
a pioneer in the development of Tibetan Buddhist
Psychotherapy in Australia and established this country's
first Tibetan Buddhist Psychotherapy Training Course (run
by ANZAIDA). She was appointed by H.H. Sakya Trizin
(together wth a Buddhist Monk) the Coordinator of Sakya
Trinley Ling (a Tibetan Buddhist Dharma Activities Centre).
Rachel
Glasgow: Clinical Trainer ICP
Rachel Glasgow has been a trainer at ICP since 2002. She is
a qualified Psychotherapist, Dream Analyst, Tibetan
Buddhist Psychotherapist and Couple and Family Therapist.
She is registered with The Institute of Clinical
Psychotherapy, (PACFA Member Association) and The
Australian and New Zealand Association of Independent Dream
Analysts (ANZAIDA). Rachel has completed a Master’s Degree
in Marriage and Family Therapy through Iowa State
University, USA, an under-graduate Psychotherapy training,
and Post Graduate trainings in Dream Analysis and Tibetan
Buddhist Psychotherapy with the Institute of Clinical
Psychotherapy. Rachel has been in private practice as a
therapist for Individuals, Couples and Families for 21
years.
Barbara
Rose: Clinical Trainer ICP
Barbara Rose has been a Trainer at ICP since 2000 and is
currently in the role as Clinical Supervisor and therapist
to trainees as well as general administration matters.
Barbara has been running a busy private practice as a
Clinical Psychotherapist, Dream Analyst and Tibetan
Buddhist Psychotherapists for the last 12 years. Her
Previous Experience includes: Guest Lecturer at
Universities, Adult Education and Independent Midwife which
reaches back for over 30 years overseas and in Australia.
Peter
Douglass: Clinical Trainer ICP
Peter Douglass practices as a health care professional in
the fields of psychotherapy and dentistry. His association
with these professions stretch back over 30 years and have
culminated in him joining the staff at the Insititute of
Clinical Psychotherapy as a trainer and supervisor. Peter
brings a wealth of clinical and ordinary life experience to
the task of inspiring clients and trainees to take up their
search for a deep and meaningful connection with the world
around them. His main clinical interest at present is the
issue of why men are so reluctant to take more
responsibility for their emotional maturation and
psychological well being, rather than leaving this burden
largely to their wives and partners.
